3 Actresses Got Their Dresses Wrong At The 2017 Oscars
There was definitely a general theme of the Oscar dresses last night. Quiet colors that exuded elegance. These women are stunning, not just for their looks, but for their amazing talent and perseverance that brought them to the Academy Awards. I, like many, loved watching the red carpet and paying attention to the dresses chosen for such a prestigious occasion.
So many got it right, but 3 actresses stood out to me that just got it wrong.
First up is Dakota Johnson. Dakota is Bright and Cool. Warm colors will look awful on her. She chose a dress that was almost gold and looked peach on TV. It was completely the wrong color for her.
On the left is the original dress and I've taken the liberty of adjusting the color to shades that are cool. I even put her in an icy yellow that would have been better than that gold.
Next up is Amy Adams. This dress was all wrong. The pale cool color completely washed her out. Amy is Bright and Warm. I personally did not like the low cleavage on her only because it looked like her boob was going to slip right out on stage.
On the left is the original dress and again I've taken the liberty of adjusting the color to shades that are warm and bright. I love her in bright turquoise.
Third is Charlize Theron. The color is beautiful on her but the dress makes her look like a linebacker. She has super wide shoulders and a narrow body... an inverted triangle. That dress visually widens her shoulders and makes her look super wide. A spaghetti strapped dress would have been so much prettier on her body type.
