Moodboard: The Future Belongs To Those Who Believe In The Beauty Of Their Dreams

It's one thing to have dreams and ideas. To set goals and take action to achieving them. It's entirely another thing to BELIEVE in your dreams and ideas and goals.

I think you should dream big. Create a life that you want and love. But if you say, I want to live in a house on the beach but you REALLY don't believe that will happen deep down. Then, it won't matter what plans you make, actions you're taking, goals you're setting... if you don't believe it can happen, it simply won't.

Our minds are masters at convincing us why it's ok to give up on an idea. We rationalize. We do this to somehow keep ourselves comfy in what we know.

Many times, our self doubt comes into play when we set a goal that's just too big. Again, I'm not saying don't dream big. I'm saying keep your short term goals achievable. Saying you want to lose 50 pounds in 3 months may be too big of a goal. Especially if you've only lost 10 pounds at the most at any given time. You have to step yourself towards your goal.

Think of it this way. You live on the east coast. You start driving toward the west coast. You want to see California. You know it's there. But you can't see it yet. And as you drive mile after mile, from east to west, you start to get closer to your destination. It starts to become more and more real. More achievable.

My point? Believe in your self. Believe in your dreams. It's not enough for someone else to believe in you. You will achieve success when you start to believe. And if it's tough at first. Set goals that stretch you and are achievable. Show yourself that you CAN be successful. One milestone at a time.
