Power Questions - Daily Confidence 05

Power Questions - Daily Confidence 05
Power Questions - Daily Confidence 05 When I was first divorced and on my own, I asked the question “Why?” a lot. Why did this happen to me? Why couldn’t I save my marriage? Why did I do this to myself? I didn’t realize it then, but these types of questions kept me in that state of mind of guilt, anger and depression. When we ask “Why?” about a situation in our life, we focus on it and that scenario will continue. Why can’t I make ends meet? Why do my spouse and I always fight? Why won’t my son listen to me? Why can’t I get that promotion? Why can’t I lose weight? Why did I eat that bowl of ice cream? Right? Asking why just puts a spotlight on what we already feel bad about. This puts us in a low energy state. When that happens, you will attract more low energy emotions. Guilt, anger, sadness, hopelessness and lack. If you don’t like something about your life, instead of asking “Why” ask What or How questions. These are power questions. When you ask a power question, your subconscious will get to work to help you find a solution. You become solution minded and you begin to focus on how you might solve the problem. This is huge and can be life changing. Instead of asking “Why are we always fighting?” ask “How can we find a way to get along?” or “What things do we agree on?’ or “What might I do to help us find a common path?” Instead of asking “Why can’t I lose weight?” ask “What might I do differently to help me shed these pounds?” or “How might I release these unwanted pounds?” Today, if you find yourself dwelling on something negative in your life or environment, try asking a power question. Instead of “Why did my plants die, again?” ask “How might care for these plants differently to keep them alive?” Yes, the above comes from personal experience. I have a tendency to kill my plants. It’s a no brainer... I forget to water them. How can I keep my plants watered and fed when I’m not around? How can I remind myself to keep my plants alive? You get it. Talk to you tomorrow! *HUGS* Jen Thoden PS. Sharing is giving which is just good karma. Share this post so that others can benefit from this positive message.
