How to Wear Light Blues

The color of the week is a light blue. Not all seasons can wear a blue like this. It’s bright and a little cool… which means that Winters will look great, along with Springs.

1. MOTHER OF PEARL Cromer bead and pearl-embellished dress

This shade of blue looks a little purple… I’d call it periwinkle and is perfect for a:

2. Dolce & Gabbana Embellished wool crepe mini dress

This is a pretty, bright blue that looks spectacular on a:

3. EMILIA WICKSTEAD Joni cut-out wool-crepe jumpsuit

This shade of blue is light and slightly muted. It’s not as purple as #1, but I’d still call it periwinkle. Periwinkle looks great on a:

4. J.Crew Collection Cashmere Sweater

This is a brighter blue than #3. Bright blues look great on winters, especially:

5. JILL Jill Stuart light blue silk crepe halter evening gown

This is a bright, clear and saturated blue. This blue will look perfect on:

6. QUINN light blue cashmere knit ‘Sadie’ crewneck sweater

This is just a little richer than #4. This cool blue looks great on a winter.

What about Soft Summer, Soft Autumn, Cool Summer, Warm Autumn and Deep Autumn? These 5 seasons do not have light blue in their color palette. If you are one of these 5 seasons, I’d recommend you avoid light blue. These blues are too cool for the autumns, too bright for the softs and too light for cool summer.
