Soft summer’s shade of mauve is soft and muted.

2. Light Summer
Light summer’s mauve leans a little toward the reds and is a bit light.

3. Deep Autumn
This shade of mauve is a darker version of Clear Spring’s mauve.

4. Deep Winter

eep winter’s mauve is rich and deep. It has a higher saturation which looks much better on a winter than a muted (grey) version.

5. Cool Summer and Cool Winter
This version of mauve is a medium… not too bright, not too dark and not too muted. It’s a great color for the “cool” seasons.

6. Clear Winter
The brightest and most saturated mauve is for the Clear Winter. It’s really not mauve but more of a bright violet.

lear Spring’s mauve is a slightly brighter version of #5. It needs to be a truer color for a spring to wear this cooler color.

What about Soft Autumn, Warm Autumn, Light Spring and Warm Spring? These 4 seasons do not have mauve in their color palette. Mainly because mauve tends to be a bit on the cool side. So, it really doesn’t work for many of the warmer seasonal color palettes.
