There are times when I am super driven. Driven in my business, running, eating healthy and communication. I want to be a better version of me!
So, I set goals and step toward them. I’m not perfect at this, but thanks to my business coach, I have annual, monthly and weekly goals, along with action steps. These goals are business related but he also has me write one for health… and one for happiness.
Do you have a happiness goal?
It could be something like “I have a healthy and open relationship with my husband.”
Or “I make time to paint at least once a month.”
One of mine is to take a 10 to 20 minute walk before I start the day.
Every once in a while (more often than I care to admit), I feel lost. I get off track. I start to feel stressed and overwhelmed. I have too much to do. This isn’t fun anymore. What’s the point?
Can you relate?
When this happens, I try to be aware of this shift in energy and mindset. I sit down and go back over my goals. I review my action steps. Pretty much every time, I realize that I haven’t been sticking to my plan. Or I added a bunch of stuff in that can wait. I don’t need to paint the bedroom, clean the closets, gut the garage AND create a course, produce videos and run a marathon.
When you feel overwhelm it means you feel like you have too much to deal with.
I get it. Life happens. We have stuff we MUST do and there is stuff we really want to do. Where’s the balance?
And that’s the key, isn’t it. Balance. Take the time to write down your goals. Break it down into small chunks and review often.
Talk to you tomorrow!
