Your Path to Becoming a Certified Color Analyst

Step 1: Access your online color analysis course

When you sign up for the Your Color Style Color Consultant Certification program, you will have immediate access to the online course, which includes your step-by-step tutorials and digital materials.

You may complete the curriculum at your own pace. Your enrollment gives you unlimited access to the content for one year. You may continue access, after one year, with your annual license fee.

Step 2: Receive Your Color Analysis Kit

When you sign up for the color analysis training, your Color Analysis Kit will ship to you worldwide, a day or 2 after your date of registration. Your kit will include each of the 10 color fans and 10 drawstring bags. A $670 value. (The image shown is slightly out of date. We have new color fans for the Warm color types.) PLUS a set of our color analysis drapes - 18 colors ($127 value).

We believe it's important to have access to the colors as you learn about color and color analysis.

You can choose to keep the color fans for your reference or sell them to your clients.

Step 3: Join the Community

All students are invited to the private YCS Color Consultant Facebook group. This is where you can network with other certified consultants, ask questions, post your assignments for feedback and eventually post your client's photos for guidance. It's also a great place to learn from other members' postings. We are a learning community and are always working on our craft.

Step 4: Join the Live Monthly Training Calls

This is optional but highly recommended. During the monthly live calls, we do further color analysis training on key topics plus answer student questions. We also review student submissions, which is foundational to your learning. If you are unable to attend a live session, you should plan on watching at least one recording.

Step 5: Submit Your First Assignment

Your first assignment will be a color analysis of YOU. You can choose to do an online color analysis or drape yourself for in-person color analysis. This takes the pressure off of finding volunteer clients while you are learning. You will follow our step-by-step videos and template to create a professional e-book. Once you complete this step, you will have the confidence and skills to complete your final assignments.

Step 6: Submit Your Final Assignments

Your final assignment will include any recommended changes to your first assignment, plus an online or in-person color analysis of two volunteer clients. Your three submissions will be reviewed by Jen Vax.

Step 7: Receive Your Digital Color Consultant Certificate

Upon successful completion of your assignments and assessment, you will receive your digital certificate that you can print or use on your website.

Can I just take the course, for now, and decide to get certified later?

The course is self paced and you can complete your assignments within your schedule. Getting certified is up to you. You can choose to simply consume the course and not do the assignments. There is no discount for choosing not to get certified.

What materials do I need to complete this program?

You will need Adobe Photoshop (if you plan on learning online color analysis) and Google Drive. We will be using Photoshop to color adjust the photographs and to perform the virtual draping. We will be using Google Slides to create our client e-books. You will need a GMAIL account to access Google Drive and its tools.

What happens if I cancel my subscription?

The monthly payment plan is not a subscription. It is a commitment to pay for the program over the course of 12 months.

What is your refund policy?

Due to the proprietary nature of the content, there is no refund available. If you are unsure of your level of commitment, please schedule an info call.

What if I have zero experience with color analysis or with business?

Every student that enters this program comes with a different level of experience. There are some that have zero experience with color analysis and business. Some that have existing businesses and are adding color analysis to their services. Some have limited to computer skills. No matter what your level of experience, you will be successful in this program.

Do I still have to pay monthly once I'm certified?

Yes. Your monthly payment is a commitment to paying 12 payments of $197. Then you will pay a $500/annual fee. Your monthly fee gives you exclusive access to me, live monthly trainings, updates to digital materials, updates to processes, your 25% trade discount, the private group and the curriculum. If you paid for a full year upfront, you will pay an annual $500 fee at the end of your year.

Do you offer a payment plan?

You can pay monthly for a total of 12 months.

What is included with my enrollment fee?

Do you teach me how to build a website and market my business?

I do not teach you how to build a website, but I will share with you resources to help you get started. Upon request, I will offer web site reviews, online marketing suggestions, best business practices, how to handle client scenarios and more.

We ship worldwide from our warehouse in Virginia, United States.

We Ship Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays
If your order is received after 2pm EST on Monday, Wednesday or Friday, it will ship the next scheduled business day. For example, if you place an order at 2:15pm EST on a Monday, your order will ship Wednesday. If you place an order after 2pm EST on a Friday, your order will ship the next business day (Monday).

Domestic Shipping usually takes from 3 to 7 business days to receive your package based on the shipping method you choose and your location.

International and Overseas Shipping can take from 7 to 30 business days to receive your package. The duration is dependent on your location, country, shipping method and customs policies and the mail carrier.

Customs Fees (International Orders)

Depending on your order’s destination and fulfillment location, you might have to pay customs fees. The fees vary depending on the order value, country limits, and other factors.

We package and ship your order within 2 business days of receiving payment. You choose your shipping carrier and method when you place your order. The carriers that we work with are, the U.S. Postal Service (USPS), United Parcel Service (UPS), and DHL Worldwide.

Guaranteed Delivery: No carriers guarantee a delivery date for standard shipments. Delivery dates are subject to change and in most cases, tracking will update to reflect the new estimated delivery date.

Lost Packages

IMPORTANT: Once your package is in the hands of the mail carrier, we do not have control over your package. If the package was delivered to the wrong address or is lost, this is unfortunately an issue with your local mail carrier. If your order tracking states that the package was delivered and you did not receive it, please check your mailbox, front step and surrounding area. Our items are small and the package may be in your mailbox. If it is lost, please contact the carrier associated with your tracking to see if the package can be located.

For domestic shipping, please contact customer support and we will file a claim and then reship your order with signature required.
