Ashy brown hair versus golden brown hair. Ashy hair tends to have a cool feel. Golden brown hair has a warm feel.
To decide if you have warm undertones, you should be able to wear peach and apricot well.
If you have cool undertones, light cool based pinks and magentas would be flattering on you.
