Ways to Wear Florals, Part 2
Earlier in the month we discussed different floral patterns and what style types they work best for. Now it is time to see floral patterns in outfits.
Let's dive into the second part of "Ways to Wear Florals"

How To Mix Patterns With Florals

Floral prints are great for pattern mixing.
Pair with a stripe or polka dot of the same colors for harmony and balance.
Complete the look with accessories from the colors of the floral print.

The Color Story of Floral Prints

In this look, we are letting a bold traditional floral pant drive the color story for the entire outfit. Start with your pant, then pull 2 colors from the pattern for the top and accessories. Many women shy away from patterned pants, but they are very stylish. Don't be shy about giving them a try, as they come in straight, tapered, and wide leg shapes, and various colors and patterns. If you fear them making your bottom half look larger, choose a soft, subtle pattern with low contrast, add tonal shoes, and accessorize boldly on top to draw attention upward.

How To Wear Two Tone Floral Pattern

A two tone floral pattern, usually geometric or herbal, can look fresh and crisp for warm weather. This is a simple look and easy to execute,
as you simply pull one shade from the print for ALL accessories.
To really tie the look together, give thought to the texture and material of
the accessories to create harmony in the feel of the outfit.
Here we chose a flower shaped earring
and woven shoes and bag for that outdoor feeling.

How To Wear Florals With Color Blocking

A floral accessory like a belt can tie together the entire outfit.
Here we started with the belt and then chose two colors of
even depth for the top and shorts.
Adding shoes in one of those two colors keeps it harmonious.

How To Wear Florals As An Accessory

A floral accessory like a purse or shoes can liven up a solid colored dress or two piece outfit. The floral pattern adds interest and color. For other accessories, choose 1 color from the floral pattern and the look will have harmony.
