How To Wear Orange When You Have Warm Undertones

Soft and Warm

If you have soft tones and warm undertones, choose a pale shade of orange like a saturated peach or salmon shade. Here the soft terra cotta pants give us a tone on tone look. We finished the look with a rich brown sandal with a wooden heel to keep an earthy feel. Touches of blue add soft contrast and make the orange pop. The overall impression of the outfit is easy and natural. Pair this with eye color shades in soft peach, soft brown, or blue, then add a soft, medium orange lip color.

Bright and Warm

The orange outfit idea below with a bold tangerine orange top is perfect for you if you have warm undertones and can wear bright colors. Pair the orange top with a turquoise pant, the orange really stands out. We connected the two colors with the coral and turquoise necklace. The orange sandals bring the brightness down to the feet, and the straw handbag ties in with the wedge heel of the shoe. The look is balanced and lively. Keep the makeup fresh and bright with a matching tangerine lip and cheek color and brown, gold, or peach eye colors.

Warm and Deep

If you have deep warm coloring, pair rusty colors of orange with other deep shades like the warm navy above. The blue handbag and shoes match back to the print of the blouse, providing a striking contrast to the oranges. No need to bring in other colors here, the blue and orange stand on their own, perfect for deep warm color types. For the makeup, choose russet or navy colors for the eyes. For the lips and cheeks, choose a bold, deep orange lip color.

  • Thank you! I’m cool-toned and love orange, but can’t wear it that often. Love thinking about “orange adjacent” colors as “my” orange.
