4 Ways To Wear Our May 2023 Color Palette
Here are 4 ways to wear this month's color palette.
Colorful Suiting continues to trend. From beautiful brights to soft washes of color, head-to-toe matching suit pieces are fun and fashionable ways to head to the office. Choose a jacket or vest with slacks, a skirt, or even shorts. Complete the look with either matching or contrasting tops and accessories, the choice is yours! You can also mix and match these pieces for some great color blocking. The versatility of the pieces work well for a capsule or travel wardrobe as well. Pick your best colors to make sure that you shine in the look.
Color Blocking works well with the fun lively colors of Summer. Make sure to consider balance when putting together a look. The colors should have a similar brightness/softness and depth for maximum impact. Complete the look with accessories in one or both of the solid colors, or choose prints in shoes or bags and/or jewelry styles that combine the colors.
Contrasting Patterns give you options for several different looks, as you can wear the print with several different pieces. Choose a pattern in a top or bottom made up of some of your best contrasting colors, then match the opposing piece and accessories to the colors in the print. I suggest utilizing two colors from the pattern to bring the look together.
Monochromatic looks are a fun way to commit to a color that looks great on you. The colors do not have to be exact, but they should be close and have the same depth and brightness/softness to them. Go all the way with accessories in the same color, or throw in a contrasting color in a few places to make the main color pop. Choose bolder shades in your palette for a more attention-getting look, and softer shades for understated sophistication.
This is great information and is super helpful for an outfit styling challenged person.
Could you use these same techniques for any monthly color palette?
