Neutral Undertones: Color Analysis Case Studies
I get many women who come to me telling me that they are neutral, but yet warm is too warm or they can't wear white, etc. So, let's first talk about what it means to have neutral undertones. You may have heard me say in other videos, that I don't believe in neutral undertones. I believe that you are either cool or warm. I still believe this BUT let me explain.
On this page are color analysis case studies that I have done on individuals who look neutral. They are not obviously warm or cool. I find this a lot in people that have deeper coloring. There's no obvious golden tone or blue cast. Many times, I would describe their skin as olive, which is a neutral skin tone. If you put this person next to someone that has obvious golden brown skin, their skin will look a little green.
Looking neutral doesn't necessarily mean you will look great in all the colors of the spectrum. However, you do have more flexibility with colors, as long as you tweak your makeup. I don't say this lightly, because I don't believe this is true for everyone. The videos below will show you two examples of women who are neutral but one tips towards cool and the other tips towards warm.

I have searched for years for a makeup that works for me. I finally found a foundation that is neutral/neutral and it melts into my skin. I can put it on one spot on my face and you would never see it. The makeup is by rejuva minerals. I have tried their neutral/warm and neutral/cool and both sit on my skin. The only one that is a match is the neutral/neutral. Does that mean I am an aberration? lol
