WHAT TO WEAR FOR THE 4th of JULY!

It's time to celebrate our country's independence, so the question is "what to wear?" You don't have to just turn to the tired flag shirt or worse yet, the flag bikini. Shake things up with these style suggestions:

RED & BLUE, without the stars and stripes

This look is fresh and classy and can be worn way beyond July 4th. The vibrant red and faded blue still tie into the celebrations, without be kitschy.

PATTERN MIXING for the WIN!

A good pattern mix always looks stylist. In each look, I've chosen a color from the print for the striped pattern pant. The two blend well and give you red, white, & blue in a stylish way.

JUST RED & WHITE

This combo is always crips and fresh. Again, the colors will blend in with the festivities without going overboard. Plus, you can wear this look all Summer long.

AN UNEXPECTED PATTERN

This look of a red top with a printed loose fitting pant in cream, blue, and red loose fitting pant could work for a backyard BBQ or a sunset cruise on a yacht. It's classy, but still includes the theme colors.

HOLIDAY GRAPHICS with a MODERN LOOK!

Here the tees are updated with foil and sequins and paired with stripes for a stylish look. 

TRADITIONAL, BUT STYLISH

For this traditional red, white, and blue look, we are drawing on modern cuts with this navy starred v neck tank and cropped flair red denim pant. The stars in the tank are an understated nod to the holiday, without being too much.

Other style ideas/tips:

• Seek out non traditional shades of blue and red to bring a modern twist to your look.
• Consider star jewelry if you don't want to invest in decorated pieces
• Make sure to choose your best "red", "white", or "blue"
• Match shoes to a color in your look
• Keep makeup simple and sweat proof, and include a touch of red on if you are wearing red clothing. A gloss or balm is a great option.
• White or red nails finish the look
• Use setting spray and primer to keep your makeup in place
