When is a color too soft to wear?

When is a color too soft to wear? I get this question a lot. Especially from people who are soft in Your Color Style. Soft means that the person wears softer muted colors best. These can be described as greyed, dusty or earthy.

Even when you're soft, not all soft colors may flatter you. There is a tipping point. In this video, I dive a little deep into color theory to explain when a color may be too soft for you to wear.

  • Hi Jen!
This video was very, very helpful. The visual color circles was a great tool. I would love if you would do another one for soft, cool, and deep. You guys did my color analysis and it fits. I’m just still trying to understand what colors are for me.. A lot of times I’m not sure if something is bright or soft and deep. I got the cool part down. LOL. My eyes and hair are high intensity and my skin is low intensity. I’m having trouble buying anything because I’m not sure if it’s one of my colors. Is it too bright? Is it too muddy? Well the color isn’t exact, but it’s in the family. What do I do with that? I feel like there isn’t as much on the site or blog for soft, cool, and deep. Thank you for all you do! Hugs, Billie
