6 Ways To Wear Rose Violet and Amazon Green

Rose Violet and Amazon Green are a bright and cool-toned gals dream. Of the two, those with warmer tones will do better with Amazon. Rose Violet is sort of a bright fuschia-raspberry pink, but is short of being neon. Amazon is a bright and clear true green that is pretty universal. Let's put together some outfits that use these two shades!

These looks pair bold colors with metallics. Metallics work like neutrals, but with a punch. Like other neutrals, they can make other colors stand out against them. Touches of metallic can add interest to an outfit.

For this look, we add a pop of color with the yellow shirt underneath the sweater, and then balance it with a soft neutral on the bottom. The warm-toned boots work with both the Amazon and the yellow to complete the look.

Gray and pink are a pairing that never fails. Here the Rose Violet becomes the accent when surrounded by the gray tones. Any gray will work with Rose Violet. And black shoes look great with this combo. This look can go from office to dinner, especially if you added a heel.

  • Dear Jen, my question has no link with your last case study: brown hair, blue eyes.
My question has to do with the hue of white hair when ageing. When younger I was a true medium blond (almost white when small) I have blue/green eyes, a light to medium complexion with no redness at all on my face.
I am 60 and has been for over 30 years determine as a spring and later as a warm light bright but never satisfied when wearing beige colour, light brown , it is true that as many make up artists feel I have a yellow undertone.
Nevertheless I am quite puzzled and very interested when listening to your video about white hair, I understood that y hair when whitening can be white of course but either “warm” (a little bit yellowish) neutral or like slightly bluish !
During the Covid I did not go to the hairdresser for getting my hair tinted as I usually do every 5 weeks and of course my hair has grown white around 3 to 4 centimeters and this how when I definitely could notice that it had a nice bluish white to my great surprise. I would like to specify that I never use a shampoo or a conditioner with a purple or blue tint like often women do to get rid of a brassy blond !
Then I feel thanks to your high knowledge that I could very well be still a Light Bright but Cool and not Warm.
I would very much like to hear about your feeling.
I would love to become a VIP member but being French and living in Paris (France) I think that this is possible only for North American citizens, may I am wrong ?
I have been following your mails and videos for 4 years now and have always been interested in colour coding.
    Hoping to hear from you.

    Bonjour Elisabeth!

First, Style Masters (VIP) is for everyone worldwide. We have members from the UK, India, Canada and Australia. So, please consider joining us. Worse case, you watch the replays of the live calls if the times don’t line up.

Regarding your coloring. Not being able to wear beige isn’t exactly a deal breaker when considering if you have warm undertones. Beige can feel blah on someone that is light and bright, like yourself. A color that would be more meaningful is warm peaches and golden yellows. If you can wear warm peach and coral well, then you have warm undertones. Your undertones don’t change when you go grey. However, it is possible that you have cool undertones and were put into the spring category by mistake. The color palettes are very similar between bright warm light and bright cool light. The biggest difference is that the BCL has blue based pinks and the BWL has the peaches and warm yellows. But they both share a wide range of blues, cyans, turquoise, teal and greens.

I don’t want to mislead you and say blue-white hair means you have cool undertones, since I haven’t seen you, but it is very possible

    Jen
