Step 2: Medium - Warm or Cool Undertones
Color Analysis Quiz Step 2
You selected MEDIUM. This means you have medium eyes, hair AND/OR skin.
If you are not light and you are not deep, you are medium. If you feel like you are in between medium and deep, then you are in the right place. Medium is a safe range to choose. You can also go to the quiz page for Medium to Deep or Light to Medium.
The next step is to determine if you have warm undertones or cool undertones.
You may already know your undertones. If so, select your answer below. If not, scroll down a bit for more information to help you learn your undertones.

Still not sure?
If you do not see a scenario that relates to you and you have watched the video, post in the comments what your combination of hair, skin and eyes are, so that I can make sure to cover it in this quiz.
Thank you so much for responding to my comment about a grey cast to skin. I just had one more comment. My eyes are orange brown around the pupil, then yellowish green, then grey mixed in. They seem typical of a warm season. Should I be placing any emphasis on eyes and their seasonal influence? Thank you.

So, it’s really about the whole picture of you, not just skin or eyes. Your eyes definitely sound warm but I’ve seen eyes described like this that turn out to have grey-greens, persimmon and lemon yellow which all cool colors and the person’s color type was soft and cool. So, it’s tough to say. You might want to post your photos in our Facebook group <https://www.facebook.com/groups/yourcolorstyle>to get some support from the group.

Hi, does a grey cast to the skin influence warm or cool,? I may have warm beige skin, with a definately very cast. Thamk you.

Your Color Style replied:
It’s possible that a grey cast means soft and cool.

Hi, I am confused by the fact that I have beige skin that could be warm, however I have a greyness that seems to permeate my complexion. I would call myself medium rather than deep. Does this greyness influence whether skin is warm or cool?

Your Color Style replied:
Based on your description, I am thinking cool undertones. Greyness means that your skin looks neutral and does not have warm tones. I’m guessing you might be soft, cool and medium

I’m torn between cool and warm. I have medium to dark ash brown hair, brown eyes, and the veins in my inner wrist are blue/purple. But I’m pulled toward warm more than cool tones, for example when choosing eye shadows especially.

Hi!
Your eye shadow colors have very little to do with your undertones. Your eyeshadow colors have more to do with the color of your eyes. So, we can’t use that to determine your undertones. Based on your description, you sound cool to me. But browns can be neutral, warm or cool, so it’s very difficult to say. If you have dark brown hair, you may also be deep. I’m thinking Soft Cool Deep. It’s tough for me to say for sure. Your personal preference matters but from a technical point of view, you may not be warm just because you gravitate to those colors. I’m sorry, but I’m new to color analysis, and I am confused.
I am very fair-skinned and still blush easily (some rosacea). I sunburn easily if I’m not very careful, but I tan a dusky-red-brown. I have VERY dark brown eyes. When I was younger, my hair was light-soft medium brown. I used to henna my hair, and I can carry auburn very well. Now, the front hair is streaked with gray, but the back is still a warm brown. I think I am a Medium/Warm (still working on quiz), but not sure. I can wear lime green, most shades of orange, and hot pink really well near my face (clothes, not makeup! :-) ) Brown, beige, gray, taupe, cream, white, and pastel colors totally wash me out. I never, ever wear makeup. Thank you!

Hi!
Based on your description, you sound like you are probably medium. I’m not sure about warm because of the colors you say you wear well and what doesn’ work. Those pastels and neutrals that wash you are out tell me that you are likely bright. Needing more clear chroma colors. So, so far, bright and medium. The fact that you can wear hot pink really well and orange could mean you have cool undertones. Many people mistake brown for warm brown but you could likely have neutral brown hair. My cut tells me Bright Cool and Medium.
