Color Analysis Quiz Step 2
You selected MEDIUM. This means you have medium eyes, hair AND/OR skin.
If you are not light and you are not deep, you are medium. If you feel like you are in between medium and deep, then you are in the right place. Medium is a safe range to choose. You can also go to the quiz page for Medium to Deep or Light to Medium.
The next step is to determine if you have warm undertones or cool undertones.
You may already know your undertones. If so, select your answer below. If not, scroll down a bit for more information to help you learn your undertones.

Still not sure?
If you do not see a scenario that relates to you and you have watched the video, post in the comments what your combination of hair, skin and eyes are, so that I can make sure to cover it in this quiz.
I have auburn hair that was a brighter vibrant red as a child. I have very pale skin, dark brown eyes that look almost amber in the sunlight, and freckles. I have always considered myself “warm,” but foundation colours can be tricky. I’ve worn cool and neutral, and I’m not sure if I’ve tried a light warm, which seems to be harder to find in a pale-enough colour. I tend to look better in gold over silver jewelry, and warm colours seem flattering, though so do some cooler colours. The vein test shows me as cool (blue/green veins), and I also have pink in my skin. . I watched your video and would call myself ivory or apricot, but possibly paler. Help please!

Hi Isobel
Based on your description, you are absolutely warm. Please don’t use the vein test to determine your undertones. That is very misleading. Foundation colors do not indicate undertones. It can be confusing but foundation is designed to work with your unique skin tone to create balance. You may need a more neutral foundation to balance your tones. That doesn’t mean you don’t have warm undertones. I would look at the Bright, Warm and Medium color palette.

Hi!
I have been researching my color season a lot lately and I’m so confused!
I have light skin that easily turns pinkish and compared to other people around me I am more cool and pink and they are more yellow. But my natural hair is warm light brown without any ash color in it and when I was a kid it was nearly blond. My eyes are honey-hazel with light brown and a little bit of green in it and when I was a baby it was blue. On the other hand, I prefer silver over gold and my veins are blueish but can appear purplish and maybe a little green. I can’t figure out if I’m cool or warm and if I’m muted or bright/clear.
Your help would be really appreciated!

Hi JoannaLet’s remove some of the confusing things first. Your eyes as a baby don’t influence your coloring now because you gain pigment from birth as you get older. Secondly, I don’t believe in the veins test. Based on how you describe yourself, I’m guessing you have warm undertones. Pink skin doesn’t necessarily mean cool unless you have a good eye to see blue-based pink vs neutral to warm pink. There’s a blog post and video on this on the site. It’s very common for warm and light individuals to seem neutral and not obvious warm or cool. My guess is you are bright warm and lightJenSent from my iPad
Hi Jen,
I’ve always had light brown/blonde hair with very strong copper/auburn undertones (in sunlight my hair is vividly orange/pink, but inside it’s more brown), and I have blue green eyes with a gold ring surrounding my pupil. Translucent skin and freckles. I know I look good in cinnamon brown and emerald green, but I’m not sure what my full color palette is.

Hi Jen
I have just watched the video on Warm or Cool undertones and still don’t know which I am. I have salt and pepper hair (turning more silver now), dark blue eyes with a yellow sunburst around the pupil and a grey rim around the outside. My skin is a mixture of peachy and pink. Am I warm or cool. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Regards

Hi,
I have watched so many videos and even had a previous assessment done with a local company, yet I’m still unsure and confused. I have auburn hair, blue-grey eyes, and pink-grey skin. Under the assessment I had done previously I was typed as a warm spring (as red hair is always warm) and dove fully into wearing those colours to my ultimate regret. My skin looks grayer than usual and I’ve been told I look ill multiple times when wearing the warm colours of this palette. Meanwhile, warm coloured make up looks like I have Fluro orange sherbet blush and lipstick on (even with a slightly warm peach), and warmer toned base products look like a yellow mask. Yet these are supposed to be the best colours for me.
In my youth I either dyed my hair or self tanned to try to look more harmonious, however I’d like nothing more than to embrace my natural colouring without feeling out of step in one way or another. Based on your system, I believe I’m medium but the overall warm/cool portion is what gets me.
Any help on the warm/cool front or examples of redheads with cooler skin and eyes (if you have any clients that agree) would be greatly appreciated! It’s so difficult when what we’re told should look good on us doesn’t.

Hi!
It’s very difficult to give you accurate advice when I can’t see you. But based on your description, you should explore the Bright and cool color palettes. Not all redheads are warm. Many are, but not all. You also may be wearing earthy colors which may translate grungy on you. You may need bright colors like turquoise and blues vs mustards and browns. That doesn’t necessarily mean you have cool undertones. The BWM color palette has a full range of cool colors to wear that may suit you well.
I know you had your colors done already, but it may help to have myself or one of my consultants help you.
I hope this helps
Jen
